New: a tutorial for TenChess – and the site now speaks five languages
Eighteen lessons teach you every piece and every rule. And the whole site is now available in German, English, Spanish, French and Portuguese.
TenChess has eleven pieces, most of which do not exist in ordinary chess – and a herald ability that really needs explaining. That is exactly what the new tutorial is for.
Eighteen lessons
The tutorial takes you through the board, every single piece, check and checkmate, promotion, draws and the Chaos setup. For each piece, a small position shows you where it may move (BM), where it captures (SM) and when the two coincide (BSM). In between there are tasks: you make the move yourself and see straight away whether it was right.
You set the pace. Individual sections can be skipped, and the contents list takes you back to any point. If you would rather start playing at once, one click skips the whole tutorial.
Who sees it
If you have not yet played a game of TenChess with your account, you start with the tutorial. Afterwards every way to play is open. If you have played before, nothing changes for you – on your account page, under “Play TenChess”, you will find the “Play tutorial” button whenever you want to catch up.
Five languages
The whole site is now available in German, English, Spanish, French and Portuguese – from the start menu to the board to the tutorial. You can switch at the top right of the header, and your choice is remembered for your next visit.
Each language has its own address: kowalski.games for German, kowalski.games/en for English, and so on. So a link you share opens in the language you copied it in.
What comes next
Next are the other two games on the platform.
